DEATH OF LOCAL LICENSEE
After a short illness the death occurred on Monday evening of a well known and respected inhabitant in the person of Mr Morgan Williams, licensee of the Bush Inn Pantteg. Deceased was a native of the place, and was more familiarly known perhaps as “Moc Ty Cwrdd,” having been born when the Pantteg Vestry now stands and from which he derived his popular name. A tin worker by trade, he worked for many years at the Ystalyfera and Yniscedwyn Tin Plate Works; he then entered the collieries, and worked as a miner in the Gleision Pit until the 1921 strike. Deceased was always to be in a company which either discussed music or politics. He took a keen interest in singing, especially choir work, and was a staunch Labour supporter. He removed to the Bush Inn from Gough Road in 1925 and during the intervening period he gained many new friends. He leaves a widow and two grown up sons and his death at the age of 61 comes as a shock to all. The funeral (public) will take place on Saturday for Alltygrug Cemetery at 3 o’clock.
