YSTALYFERA BUSINESSES OF THE RECENT PAST

As most of our readers are aware Yeargroup [Ystalyfera Electronic Archive Research Group] is today run by two of us, me and Jon, but 17 years ago we began with 12. Back then with no computers, mobile phones, one camera and one car and members twenty or so years older than myself knowledge was in the little grey cells. I would write the memories long hand but more or less with one voice the group would say: Val take photographs, nothing lasts forever. And they were right: my only deep regret is that I did not take theirs.
Buildings and businesses surround us and like the mountains and rivers we think of them as permanent fixtures BUT time does alter things.
